What should every parent pack in a travel medical kit?

After a few family trips, I've realised that a small travel medical kit can make a huge difference. Kids always seem to get sick at the most inconvenient time! Our kit usually includes:

Children's fever and pain medicine
Digital thermometer
Bandages and antiseptic wipes
Antihistamines for allergies or insect bites
Oral rehydration salts
Motion sickness medication
Any prescription medications
I also keep a copy of our travel insurance details and a list of any allergies on my phone.
Is there anything you'd add to this list? Have you ever packed something that ended up being a real lifesaver on holiday?

Great list. I always throw in a small instant cold pack too. My youngest managed a nasty bump on a road trip once and it came in really handy. I also check where the nearest pharmacy is when we arrive, just in case. Hopefully we never need it, but it definitely helps me relax a bit.

I'd throw in a little packet of electrolyte tablets.
